Silicon Mix Bambu Treatment

Silicon Mix Bambu Treatment was the best way to save my hair.  My hair was dry, brittle, and shedding like crazy.  Just after one use and my hair was silky and balanced.  I've been using it week after week.  I love it. Every time I've used it, I get  the same results (silky balanced hair). I use my Garlic shampoo first then the Silicon Mix Bambu Treatment. I either use Organix macadamia oil, or coconut oil or ojon oil to seal.

My Relaxer Update

I was suppose to relax in December but just couldn't wait.  I was 5 or 4 days away from five months post.
My hair looks fuller so the two stretches I did this year really helped.  The 9 months and 17 days then the little over 4 months.

The 30 Day Squat And Exercise Challenge?

I started doing the 30 day squat challenge last month, and after 30 days decided to continue until I got the results I desired along with sit ups, leg lifts, side lifts, hand weights and running in place. I try not to think about how long I exercise, but how many I'm doing such as: 50 of this, a 100 of that and 250 of this.. etc..  I've been doing very well that way.  It's amazing how much water exercising requires as well.   Once I reach my goal, I plan to do before and after pictures.  Wish me luck.

Best Way To Healthy Hair When Relaxed

I love roller sets.  So easy to get the hair either straight with a bump or curls.  Using no heat is always the best way to go for healthy hair.  Also, if your looking for plenty of body you just can't go wrong with roller sets.  Then pin curl to keep up the curls .

Black Currant Seed Oil, Something Great For The Hair

  1. Black Currant Seed Oil

    • This oil contains omega-6 and omega-3 essential fatty acids, which
help provide moisture for your hair and encourage hair growth and
strength. Specifically, the gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) in black currant
seed oil is an omega-6 acid that can help prevent hair thinning, splitting
and dryness, according to Dr. Andrew Weil.
Moisture is key for healthy hair because if your hair is dry and fragile,
it will be more likely to break. Of course your hair will keep growing,
but it will seem like it is not because it breaks before you see any real
       progress.
Omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids are also beneficial in improving the
      condition of skin and nails.

    Recommended Dosage

    • Weil recommends starting with 500 mg capsules one to three times per
day. The capsules are also available in higher dosages, but start with the
lower dosage and gauge your reaction to the supplement. It is important
to take GLA as a capsule (rather than trying to get an adequate amount
solely through diet) because it can be challenging to get enough of the
fatty acid to improve hair health. A supplement makes it much easier
       to get the recommended dosage.

These are my kind of colors. Dior 5 color eyeshadow.  All kinds of pink with a dark purple added.

Diorskin Shimmer Star is one that could be used all different kinds of ways. I would use it as a eyeshadow and highlighter.

Dior Nude Tan Paradise Blush.  This is another I would use different ways. I would use it as a blush, to contour and eyeshadow.   Quality products that do so many things.

Influenster Sunkissed VoxBox Review

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

I was very excited to receive the Dr. Scholl's For Her . It's proven to help prevent foot pain caused by wearing high heels 2" or higher. They offer immediate long-lasting comfort and ultra soft gel arch (something I love) to shift pressure off the ball of your foot. I always had pain in my feet, so it was wonderful to find it in my box.  The cost is $10.99

Sinfulshine with Gel Tech.  I like how this nail polish has Gel Tech technology. Provides rich color and superb shine. There are 32 colors to chose from. So affordable.  The cost is $2.99

The Olay Fresh Effects (BB Cream) skin Perfecting  Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15 I really liked.  It added moisture and made my skin very soft. The color actually toned down to my own skin color which was very surprising. It offers 24 hour hydration and a splash of sheer color. It's a all in one skin perfector, sunscreen, and tinted moisturizer evens tone and refreshes dullness, for flawless looking skin. It's available in Fair/light and Light/medium.  The cost is $12.99

The Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics I started to wear right away. No metals to pull the hair.  I was able to put my hair in a bun and ponytail.  The new Ouchless Ribbon Elastics are great for summer, and those special hair days as well. I'll be wearing it a lot. The cost is $ 3.99 to $4.99.

Hair Thickness Update After Relaxing (Stretched for 9 Months and 17 Days)

My hair has gotten much thicker after stretching for 9 months and 17 days.  You can't see the full length because it's curled but I'm very happy with my results.  I was on a year long stretch,, then relaxed.   When I relaxed, I used African Pride relaxer.  I neutralized 3 times, then I used my Joico Cuticle Sealer to close my cuticles.  After a few days, I  use my Sukesh Ayurveda which strengthens my hair and gives it a great shine. My oil of choice most of the time is Coconut Oil or Grapeseed Oil.  I think I will continue to do long stretches.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle

Talk About Saving Tresses!!

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle turned out to be my miracle.  I've been stretching my relaxer (today being 8 months for me).  My stretch has gone smoothly without any problems and at 8 months post.  I wish I would have known about this products months ago. It leaves my hair silky and soft.  It also takes the tangles out quickly.  I just love this product.   It's well worth having and keeping.

Ojon, A Hairs Best Friend

I revisited an old friend, Ojon.  It worked great on my hair.  The treatment and oil is amazing. I love how the company added new products  to their line which truly help all types of hair.  It was nice to go back to something that worked for me years ago, that works even better now.

My 7 Months Post Relaxer Braidout

I'm 7 months post relaxer (haven't relaxed my hair in 7 months), and it's going great. I'm stretching for a year for over all health and thickness (mainly thickness). I gave myself a little hair cut, then did a braidout.  I'm really liking the results so far.  Ignor the date on my camera.  I really have to figure out how to change it.

Why Use Vinegar As A Hair Rinse

A Fantastic Reason To Use Vinegar For Your Hair

The outer layer of the hair, the cuticle, covers the hair shaft and protects it like the bark on a tree. The cuticle is made of overlapping layers of long scales that lie along the surface of the hair like shingles on a roof. It is the condition of the cuticle scales that determines whether you are going to have a bad hair day.

When the cuticle is in good shape, is unbroken, and lies flat, your hair has a smooth appearance. When the layers of the cuticle are tightly knit together, the light is able to reflect off the cuticle. This is what makes hair shine! The cuticle opens when we shampoo our hair. When the cuticle layers are open and not knit together, the hair will feel rough, coarse and brittle. The hair will absorb the light rather than reflect it, which gives the appearance of dull and lifeless hair.

Extra Honey Shampoo

Vinegar removes scaly build-up and residue from hair shafts and closes the cuticles. Since residue coats the hair causing it to look dull, removing residue gives your hair more shine. By closing the cuticles, the hair slides more easily and there will be fewer tangles. Vinegar has a tonic action that promotes blood circulation in the small capillaries that irrigate the skin.

Hair Cuticle Hiar Damage

The cuticle, covers the hair shaft and protects it like the bark on a tree. If the cuticle scales are laying flat, the hair will look shiny, and a comb or brush will glide smoothly. If the cuticle stays open it can start a tear in the hair shaft that ultimately leads to breakage of the hair shaft.

What Kind of Vinegar Should I Use?
Although plain white vinegar will work just fine, Apple Cider Vinegar seems to be the favorite hair care vinegar.  Some say that wine vinegar is less drying.

Simple Recipe
A good amount to make for long hair is 1/2 tablespoon of vinegar to 1 cup of water. If you want to get fancy, create a vinegar rinse tailored to your hair by adding herbs and/or natural essential oils. I have included an herb and vinegar rinse and an essential oil vinegar rinse that I use below.

How Do I Use The Vinegar Hair Rinse?

After shampooing apply the vinegar rinse. Now you have a few choices. You may rinse it all out if you want, or leave the rinse on your hair. I rinse a little--one quick spray of water. Leaving the vinegar rinse on your hair helps prevent tangles in long hair. Since the vinegar restores natural pH it also helps prevent an itchy scalp. As your hair is drying you will smell vinegar, but once your hair dries, no smell. I was skeptical at first--but this really works!

How Often Can I Use The Vinegar Hair Rinse?
Since everyone's hair is unique you should use your own judgment on this. Some say that vinegar rinses may be drying if used every day and it is best to restrict use to two times per week. I used a vinegar rinse every other day for the first few weeks--until my hair adjusted to the new shampoo--now once or twice a month keeps my hair healthy and shiny. Many customers have found this regimen to work, but do some experimenting!

Some Helpful Hints
Pouring cold vinegar rinse on your hair in the shower may be a more invigorating experience than you would like. (Although if you're feeling brave, the cold water will give your hair added shine.) Keep a small plastic container of vinegar in your shower. Next, recycle a small clear plastic bottle with a squirt top (your old shampoo bottle may work). Choose the amount of rinse you will need to make for your hair. Mark the vinegar line and water line on your bottle. Now you can pour in the vinegar and add warm water from your shower and squirt the rinse on your hair!

For Hair Growth Black Currant Seed Oil

Black Currant Seed Oil

  • This oil contains omega-6 and omega-3 essential fatty acids, which help provide moisture for your hair and encourage hair growth and strength. Specifically, the gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) in black currant seed oil is an omega-6 acid that can help prevent hair thinning, splitting and dryness, according to Dr. Andrew Weil.
Moisture is key for healthy hair because if your hair is dry and fragile, it will be more likely to break. Of course your hair will keep growing, but it will seem like it is not because it breaks before you see any real progress.
Omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids are also beneficial in improving the condition of skin and nails.

Recommended Dosage

  • Weil recommends starting with 500 mg capsules one to three times per day. The capsules are also available in higher dosages, but start with the lower dosage and gauge your reaction to the supplement. It is important to take GLA as a capsule (rather than trying to get an adequate amount solely through diet) because it can be challenging to get enough of the fatty acid to improve hair health. A supplement makes it much easier to get the recommended dosage.
Thought this information would be very helpful.
